We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as an Accountant I. This position will perform general accounting functions including processing receipts and disbursements, reconciling general ledger accounts, preparing reports, and conducting financial analysis.
In this position, you will:
- Perform day-to-day accounting functions including general ledger, cash management, revenue tracking, and account monitoring and analysis
- Reconcile transactions between accounts and external systems
- Assist with general ledger monthly, quarterly and annual closing process, including account reconciliations and preparation of various schedules
- Oversee the accounts payable process, including invoice, credit card expenses, employee reimbursements, payment processing and 1099 reporting; act as the main contact for vendor inquiries and maintain all vendor files
Successful candidates will have:
- One or more years of experience in finance or accounting with demonstrated knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, budget practices, financial reporting and/or general business processes; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- Proficiency using Microsoft Excel, as well as other Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing
- Ability to read, analyze and accurately interpret accounting and financial records and statements
- Ability to identify and define problems, collect data, establish facts, develop and communicate options and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
- Demonstrated critical thinking, decision making and analytical ability

Work Environment:
- This position works a hybrid schedule (2-3 days/week onsite)
- Typical office environment with considerable time in a sitting, stationary position
- Must be able to occasionally move about the office to retrieve files and documents located at floor level and above the head
- Constantly operate a computer and other office equipment including typing and keying to enter accounting information from forms, reports, and related documents
- Frequently communicate with team members and third-party business partners; must be able to exchange accurate information accordingly
