We are hiring a System Engineer III to develop, implement, and maintain complex technology that supports our strategic objectives. If you have passion for optimizing technology solutions, creatively solving challenges, and working with a collaborative, mission focused team, then this role is for you.
In this position, you will:
- Develop, implement, and support technical systems including network infrastructure, servers, storage solutions, and databases
- Evaluate and select new technology using technical expertise in areas such as network management, Linux, Windows, cloud infrastructure and/or database administration
- Configure and implement cloud services and hybrid architectures
- Implement and integrate enterprise-wide systems that meet Agency goals
- Mentor junior engineers to support their skill development and professional growth
- Continuously develop your skills through agency-paid professional development opportunities
Successful candidates will have:
- 5+ years of technical experience in administration, database administration, cloud technology, or networking
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft 365 services
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems on a variety of operating systems
- Ability to interpret business needs and recommend technical solutions that meet those needs
- Knowledge of security best practices and standards
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, sufficient to explain complex technical problems to diverse audiences

Work Environment:
- This position works a hybrid schedule, with a few days per week onsite at our office
- Works in a typical office environment with considerable time in a sitting, stationary position
- Constantly operate a computer and other office equipment including typing and keying
- Must be able to occasionally move about the office to retrieve files and documents
- Frequently communicate with team members; must be able to exchange accurate information accordingly
- Occasional travel required
- Some nights and weekends required
